Dumplin and Pumpkin diapers have been tested on my own 8 month old little girl to be sure they are up to my personal standards. She is a long sleeper, going sometimes 10 hours at night before waking up ready to be chnaged. Almost all of the diapers I have ever used on her have leaked through resulting in soaking sheets, and wet uncomfortable baby. That being said, I was especially pleased when I put my angel to bed at 9:30 the other night and wasn't awoken to change her until 9:30 the following morning still no leaks! While, I like to change her more often and she doesn't go more than 3 hours during the day, I feel that it is a great testimony to find a design that is affordable and can last longer when necessary.

The diapers are made with small slits along the legs which provides extra insurance for those long naps and nights. These clever slits also allow the liquid (from fast or heavy wetters) to drain directly into the inside of the pockets without compromising baby's skin by waiting for the urine to seep fully into the microfleece and to the insert. Because one of the properties of microfleece is that it does not fray, the slit edges are left natural, small, and once on baby are completely unnoticeable.

The inserts are made of microfiber because it is especially absorbant, however, because some of us moms can get busy and don't prestuff our diapers, one side of each insert is made of microfleece to allow the insert to be laid on top instead of inside the pocket without drying out baby skin.
